We Need YOU for our Board of Supervisors!

Lorain Soil & Water Conservation District is seeking candidates for its Board of Supervisors.  There will be ONE open position on the Board and the elected candidate will begin serving their time on January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2027. 


There are a total of five elected board members that serve three-year terms.  Any person who is over 18 years of age and a resident of Lorain County can petition to be a SWCD Supervisor by obtaining at least 10 valid signatures on a specific Candidate Nomination Petition form.  This form is available at our office, 42110 Russia Rd., Elyria, OH 44035 or download & print the form from the green box below.


The deadline to submit the petition is Wednesday, July 10, 2024. Please call the office at 440-326-5800 with any questions you might have regarding the election. Board meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 4:30 p.m. (with June & July being at 8:30 a.m.) and normally run 1½ to 2 hours.
