PLUM CREEK WATERSHED

"Stopping Sediment at it's Source"

AGRICULTURAL CONSERVATION GRANT PROGRAM

Landowners in the Plum Creek Watershed in parts of Columbia and Grafton Township may be eligible for cost share funding for a variety of cost-share practices including:

  • Cover crops
  • Grass filter strip
  • Vertical and zone tillage (equipment rental)
  • Grassed waterways and grade stabilization structures
  • Fencing livestock from streams

Watershed Eligibility Map

Eligible projects must be on current agricultural cropland in the Plum Creek Watershed.

Previously installed conservation practices do not qualify.

Project funding is available for 2013 and 2014.

Grant funding is available through the Great Lakes Initiative. The primary purpose is to improve water quality in the Rocky River Watershed.
